Calendar of Events

UMW is excited to extend our new calendar dates to all women at Lynnewood - it looks to be a full and interesting year. It is our intent to meet monthly this year except during the summer months. We will conduct general meetings with field trips or outings on the months in between. We will try to keep the dates on the first Saturday or Sunday of the month when possible.

This calendar is our best guess - please read the Lines for updates and changes and join us for a great year.

UMW Reading Circle
We continue with our UMW Reading Circle. There are 9 selections this year (2 youth books in March) 2 of the books are worth 2 points each so there are 11 points in all! Lucky us! That means you can miss one selection and still qualify for the 10 book level. I hope these are all books that will lead to interesting and inspiring conversations.  It looks like a fun and challenging year. We typically meet on the third Monday of each month in someone's home, so again check your Lynnewood Lines and your Sunday bulletins for further information.

January - Dinner With a Perfect Stranger by David Gregory
February - Kite Runner by Khaled Hosseini
March - 2 youth selections: Kira-Kira by Cynthia Kadohata & The Meaning of Consuelo by Judith Ortia Cofer
April - Disturbing the Peace by James Hodges & Linda Cooper
May - But Lord, I was Happy Shallow by Marita Littauer
June, July and August - No book selections these months
September - The Blindfold's Eyes by Sister Dianna Ortiz

Lynnewood UMW Craft Circle

We will also be trying out a new circle - the Lynnewood UMW Craft Circle. It will meet at Jennifer Silva's home on the 1st Wednesday evening of each month from 7:00 - 9:00.  There will NOT be pre-planned or prepared crafts, but we will try to set up long term, individual projects for people to work on. Join us and remember the first Wednesday of every month 7:00 - 9:00 at 4054 Graham Street.
